March Favourites

This year is literally flying by I can't believe its April already!  April is such a month for me with so many birthdays, events and of course the dreaded dissertation hand in day....slowly but surely university is coming to an end (sob). Now March included lots of experimenting with different products some old and some new and  so my favourites this month are about all over the place! Here we go..

First up is the MUA Heaven & Earth Palette which I've been using on a daily basis, whether it be for a quick sweep when I'm in a rush or a perfect smoky eye for the evening. The variety of looks I've managed to make this with this bargain palette is amazing and the formulas are so pigmented, with a wonderful shade range, they really do last all day! I recently have started using the Sleek Contour Kit  in Medium which I ordered off Amazon ages ago but it took weeks to arrive. Contouring is a technique I've always wanted to try but not had a clue where to start, but after some youtube surfing I've found some really helpful tutorials and given it a go! I've then been using the Bourjois Java Rice Powder to set my make up as it leaves such a stunning, flawless finish and the scent is absolutely divine.

I have also started experimenting with my hair and trying to style it more and just do some different things with it because at the moment I just clip it to the side or shove it in a messy bun. I have really flat hair and so products that help style and also add volume are always a plus. I received the Toni & Guy Casual Texturising Spray in a gift set for Christmas but it got shoved in the back of a draw as I had no idea how to use it! Now i'm still a massive rookie when it comes to styling but I've been using this to jujj up my hair and it adds the perfect amount of texture and volume to my roots, I would definitely recommend this to a newbie like me (full post coming soon). On my nails I have not stopped using the Models Own Hypergel in 'Pink Veneer' and 'Lilac Sheen', there both so gorgeous for spring, especially the lilac and I absolutely love the finish of these polishes.

This month skincare has become very important to me and I've been following a routine everyday based on lilypebbles skincare guide. A couple of saviour products I have been using are the Clinique All About Eyes to reduce the horrendous bags under my eyes and the Lanolips 101 Ointment to moisturise my extremely chapped lips. These two have firmly become enshrined in my daily routine! Finally is a travel size product I actually received in my Birchbox which is the Korres Citrus Body Milk. This smells so incredible and citrusy, I have been using this everyday as it makes me feel so refreshed and moisturised. A full size purchase will be happening asap as I only have the smallest amount left!

Spring Gingham

The weather has been so crazy this week, I feel like I've lived through all 4 seasons in just one week! From hailstones to thunder to sunshine we've had it all! Today we were lucky to have a brief spout of sunshine and I took full advantage of the gorgeous weather. I went to the FCUK Spring Fashion Event in Southampton's, West Quay store today so I wore something quite casual but smart. I love the gingham trend I am absolutely obsessed with it at the moment, as you can see from my last haul! And I just had to blog these shoes again, they are so dreamy, and they look even more amazing in the sunshine!

Spring Haul

Confession time? I am the biggest shopaholic ever and with payday being last week a haul was bound to be on the cards soon. Now I actually bought quite a lot more than I planned but I didn't like the look of some stuff when I got it home and it didn't fit me yada yada yada so yeah this is everything I have decided to keep out of my spree. I'm one of those people that firmly believes retail therapy solves everything and I've had such a stressful time with final year and a break up and working crazy hours,  I wanted to treat myself to some new spring wardrobe essentials. Stuff that I can start incorporating into my wardrobe now and will last right through into summer! Hopefully I'll be styling up what I bought in some new ootd posts so keep an eye out for those!

First up is this gorgeous mini tote bag from New Look. I actually saw this on instagram somewhere and decided it was the perfect bag for spring - perfect colour, perfect size, perfect in every single way. Next up is this gorgeous crossover top from Zara. Now I fully admit I have had my eye on this since I saw my favourite fashion blogger Sarah style this in a post a few weeks ago and I just had to have it, the colour is beautiful, I love the cut out detail and I can't wait to wear this when the weather warms up. Next up the famous donut talk to me River Island top which has been on my wish list since it hit the stores. I was devastated when this sold out in stores and online and then one of my amazing friends sent me the link when it appeared on ASOS and that was it, it was in my basket quicker than you can even say ASOS!

The leggings were a total impulse buy and I'm so glad I decide to get them. I am loving the gingham trend and Topshop have no shortage of different styles, but these are just so affordable and perfect for Spring and look how cure they are! I have barely taken them off since I bought them...literally! Finally, no haul would be complete without a few cheeky Primark purchases. There's a lot of stuff I've seen people buying in Primark that my local store simply doesn't have so I just picked up some cute pastel socks, some new sunglasses and a gingham tie bow thing to try out in my hair.

Iridescent Dreams

I have been searching for the perfect Iridescent shoes for a while now and then I stumbled across these beauties on ASOS! I'm really into skate shoes at the moment they are so easy to wear and style and when I found these beauties it was love at first sight! I styled them with a quilted white jumper and some blue jeans, simple yet causal!

The Baby Blue Biker

So here it is as promised my first outfit post...I am so nervous about posting this I've literally got the worst butterflies so please don't be too harsh in the comments...I am by no means a model and possibly the most awkward poser ever but all feedback is welcome!

This is just something I threw together for a day of library loving...third year is such a bore! I am loving the pastel trend so far and after pining over the Zara faux leather biker, I found this one on Ebay for a fraction of the price and snapped it up straightaway. The jeans are literally my favourite jeans and I have lived in these the last few months, they are so figure hugging and comfortable and they are now on sale for £11 - an absolute steal if you ask me! Expect to see these jeans making a number of appearances on here I adore them!
