#SotonMeetUp Orange Rooms

So the Saturday before last I was lucky enough to attend the #SotonMeetUp with 21 other bloggers from and around Southampton. The meet up was organised by Alice from Annie Writes Beauty and Amy from Amzy in Wonderland and they did an incredible job, the day went so smoothly and everyone who attended had an amazing time so thank you girls!

The day started with a couple of us meeting at the train station and walking to Orange Rooms together. The venue is situated in the heart of Bedford Place serving cocktails and food during the day and  turning into the perfect evening venue at night. Upon arrival first stop was the bar where I chose a Mango & Raspberry Rekorderlig  at first and later a Pornstar Martini, then it was back outside to meet everyone and talk all things blogging.

We then descended on the Tiki Bar which was our reserved area for the afternoon. There was several booths and then a larger area where we chose to sit armed with our cocktails and name badges. The talk  then turned to food with our lunches starting to arrive in quirky little cardboard boxes. I chose the nacho chicken wrap which was ah-mazing, so good in fact that I dived in and finished most of mine before giving a second thought to taking a picture (bad blogger) I would 100% recommend eating here, the bar is so quirky but sophisticated and the menu is so, so good!

After food, there was a small raffle where we were each given a ticket and there were 5 prizes on offer. I actually won the last prize sponsored by Pillbox Chemists which was the Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume which was a lovely bonus as normally I never win anything.

Finally our goodie bags were handed out and when I say they were over flowing, my god you can't even begin to imagine how much was stuffed into these small paper bags. The girls did such an incredible job with these we were all so shocked with how much was inside. There were brands I have tried before such as Benefit, Lush, The Body Shop and Batiste and lots of new brands I had heard of but hadn't tried yet including Manuka Doctor, E.L.F, Miner cosmetics, Decleor and Metcalfe's - which I have since developed a slight obsession with, this is literally the best popcorn on me!

There are some amazing products which I am so excited to try out especially the Little Forest Soap which smells absolutely divine and the E.L.F nail polish which is the most gorgeous blue. I also can't wait to style the piece of statement jewellery I received from Lylia Rose. Overall the day was lovely, the girls did such an amazing job I don't know how they managed to organise such a perfect day. I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for another meet up soon.

Jungle Fever

With finishing university and working all of the bank holiday, I've barely even had time to sleep let alone blog so I wanted to get a new post up as soon as. So that's where this outfit comes in. I actually shot this outfit a few week's ago but I hated all of the pictures on the day. I've had a look back and decided some of them are not as bad as I initially thought and I wanted to post this outfit because I love it! The top was a bargain and the style is absolutely perfect for summer and I paired it with my favourite white jeans. I love the tropical print at the moment and this top just screams jungle fever.

Primark Pastels

Today mark's probably one of the biggest milestones in my life so far as I finished my final exam and my degree. I can't believe four years of partying, grafting and tears has finally come to an end so quickly. I have to say I thought I would be more excited but as I sit here contemplating everything I am saddened it is the end of an era...Southampton Solent over and out!

I just wanted to do a quick post today as it has been a few days since my last one and I've got a couple backed up I need to do. Today's posts features some more amazing Primarni finds. This skirt was the last one in the entire shop and luckily it was in my size...meant to be or what. I love panel skirts at the moment so this is right up my street and it just looks so much more expensive than it was. I teamed it with this chic pink check chiffon style tshirt. The back of the top is just plain pink and the front is a chiffon material with pastel stripes. I am seriously lacking in the pink department in my wardrobe at the moment and I don't own anything like this top so it was the perfect addition. I especially love the incorporation of other pastel colours along the stripes. I think the whole outfit cost a mere £20? Which is an absolute bargain for such a chic outfit.

Gingham Midi Skirt

Midi skirts for me have always been a no, with my petite figure I have struggled to find skirts which flatter my frame and don't swamp me. This little beauty is from Primark and something drew me to it even though I don't usually like this style. I found the length just right for me, finishing just below the knee with the pleats flattering my frame perfectly. The fabric is so lightweight and comfortable making this ideal for Spring and Summer. I paired it with this cream sleeveless blouse with gold detail as I wanted to keep the outfit quite girly but simple. This skirt is fast becoming a staple in my wardrobe, perfect for all occasion and literally the comfiest item of clothing I own at the moment.

Pastel Hues & Cleated Shoes

I love everything about this outfit to me its just perfection. Firstly the most amazing Zara pastel top which I have had for a while now but I've been waiting for the warmer weather to wear. The cut out detail on this is so unique and flattering and the colour is my new go to Spring colour. Next up these Topshop crop Joni jeans which I managed to pick up on depop for a bargain £25! I was worried being that i'm 5ft 8 that they would look too cropped or like ankle swingers but they are the perfect length and they go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe, I have literally lived in this. To finish this outfit off I added my favourite shoes at the moment...there white and they are cleated sole? What more could a girl want! Its safe to say my bank balance is hating the new shoe trend!

Palm Tree Co-ord

So the weather has taken a turn for the worst...typical! Especially as it it rains all day on my day off but that won't dampen my mood. Today i'm blogging this bargain co-ord from my favourite shop at the moment Primark. Yes another Primark bargain, this was I think £14 for both the skirt and the top, they are both so flattering together and being monochrome means I can match either piece with pretty much everything else in my wardrobe. The jelly shoes compliment the outfit nicely and the necklace just adds that simple finish. Finally you can't go wrong with a leather jacket, they add the perfect edge to every look and probably the most important staple in a girl's wardrobe. I love this co-ord I will 100% be living in this when the weather warms up again.
