Christmas Sales Haul: New Look

Blue Geo Jacquard Boxy T-Shirt
Black Tinsel Jumper
Parisian Black Diamante Fringe Hem Crop Top
Black Floral Print Belted Shorts
Black Velvet Metal Corner Clutch
Silver Caged Strappy High Vamp Heels
High Vamp Cut Out Platform Heels
Black Pointed Block Heel Mules

Online shopping is fast becoming my new favourite hobby! I'd much rather sit down with a nice cuppa and browse my favourite sites without having to rummage through stands and stands looking for my size. The New Look sale is one of the main culprits of unorganised chaos in stores and its pretty much impossible to find my size in anything. Last week when I had a rare night off I decided to have a little look online and see if anything took my fancy: lets just say most of the Women's section did. After much deliberation these are the bits I decided to keep and I have to say I love every single one. From the basic tops, to the simple knitwear, everything I purchased will get a lot of wear in my everyday wardrobe. I am hoping to start up my fashion posts again soon, well, as soon as I find a willing photographer! So hopefully you can see how I styled some of these items and get more of an idea of what they look like on. The Mules are by far my favourite item from this haul as they are so comfortable and a lot easier to walk in than I thought and for the bargain price of £10 you can't go wrong!

Christmas Sales Haul: Topshop & Lush

The Lush boxing day sale is by far the best sale with all the Christmas collection reduced to half price. Unfortunately I had to work boxing day this year but luckily I pass a Lush store on my way into work so I managed to pick up some of my favourites from this year. The 'Luxury Lush Pud' and 'Golden Wonder' are two of my all time favourites so I picked up a couple of these as well as a few I am yet to try. 'Candy Mountain' smelled far too good to leave behind and I had to pick up a few 'Butterbear's' for just £1 these are incredible and leave my skin so smooth plus they are so cute!

What did you pick up in the sales?

2014 Favourites

2014 was the year I really focused on my skincare routine and started branching out and trying new make up looks. No matter how much eye shadow or waterproof mascara I caked onto my eyelids the Garnier Micellar Water always managed to remove it without hassle - a definite rival for the holy grail bioderma. This year I tried my first Lush bath bomb and its safe to say I am a Lush convert, I barely have a bath without one now. My favourite of all time has to Lord of Misrule as I think the mix of spicy and sweet scents is the perfect combination and so relaxing! These were released for Halloween and I was devastated they were only on sale for a month but I have stocked up and hopefully I can make them last until next October. This was also the year I finally got my hands on the Emporio Armani Cityglam For Her which I have been trying to get my hands on FOREVER. This is without a doubt my favourite perfume of all time and I am so glad I finally got my hands on another bottle.

I have to say I fell in love with Smashbox over 2014 adding 2 palettes, their primer, foundation, mascara and eyeliner to my collection - all of which are incredible. The Photo-finish Foundation Primer is flawless and always creates a smooth, even base to apply my make up. It extends the longevity of my makeup base and leaves my skin looking airbrushed and perfect. My all time favourite foundation has to be the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation which teamed with the Smashbox primer creates the most flawless base. I always get compliments on how amazing my skin looks when I wear this combo and I literally feel a million dollars as my skin looks so perfect! I am not a big blusher fan but I found the Revlon Highlighting Palette's give the perfect mix of highlight and colour to my cheeks with the Rose Glow perfect for creating a warm flush of colour and the Bronze Glow perfect for a more bronzed, contoured look.

During Winter my lips and hands are without doubt my most affected areas. My lips get so chapped and dehydrated and my hands get so dry and rough. I've tried a whole host of different hand creams but nothing even compares to the Bee Good Intensive Hand Repair. This stuff is like rehydration in a bottle, its not greasy at all and leaves my hands so smooth and nourished its definitely in my top 5 Winter saviours. As for my lips i've found the perfect duo is to exfoliate and buff the dead skin away with Lush Santa's Lip Scrub which leaves my skin so soft and smooth, and then to apply the Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips. This stuff is ah-mazing if you haven't tried it you really are missing out! It leaves the lips so moisturised and plump without being too sticky or greasy and it lasts all night so you wake up and your lips still feel hydrated and smooth.

I've never really been a big lipstick fan but following the release of the Revlon Colourburst matte balms I have been totally sold on the lip pencil craze. I didn't think I could fall in love with a product more than the Maybelline Colour Drama lip pencils! The pigmentation is incredible and although I have only tried a handful of shades, they are so long-lasting and moisturising with a lovely matte finish. My favourite colour has to be Berry Much which is a gorgeous deep purple which really compliments my skin tone.

2014 was the year I finally visited New York thanks to my incredible Mummy for THE best graduation present. While I was there I picked up quite a few beauty products (see my haul post here) mainly recommendations from other bloggers and a couple of products I have seen everybody raving about. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is one of those products which fully deserves the hype surrounding it. I am a winged eyeliner beginner but I have found the thin nib on this liner  aids in controlling the line to slowly build up the desired thickness: A must have in any winged liner's make up collection. While in New York I also picked up one of the Nars Satin Lip Pencil's in Palais Royal which is a dark berry-red perfect for my skin tone and so pigmented and rich. I will 100% be adding more of these to my collection as I think they are absolutely spot on and well worth the price tag.

Finally has to be the Co Lab Dry Shampoo which is miles ahead of all other dry shampoo's I have tried and trust me I have tried millions. I am currently working as a waitress which means long hours and shoving my hair up daily with little time to wash or straighten and style my hair. Dry shampoo has become my best friend and the release of Co Lab finally saw a product which has the perfect grit to it for adding volume to my hair without leaving a greasy residue or a grey tinge. So affordable and each scent is heavenly I would defo recommend checking these out if you haven't already!

2015 Resolutions

2014 for me was possibly one of the hardest years of my life and I faced some difficult challenges and decisions so I am very happy to see the back of it! 2015 for me is the year I buckle down and sort my life out (or at least attempt to). This isn't one of those cliche 'new year, new me' kind of posts as I think to be perfectly honest they are a pile of poop. I want to set myself 3 realistic goals that I can see myself sticking to and achieving throughout the year!

1. Health:
January is the time where everyone I know rushes out to join the nearest gym, bangs on about calories and diets and starts focusing on their health - well for a couple of weeks anyway. This is slightly different for me as being underweight for my height and age, exercising has never been high on my to do list for fear of loosing even more weight. This year my main focus is to ensure I am eating 3 meals a day. You can ask anybody who knows me and they will tell you how much I love food but sometimes working long days and stupid shift patterns totally mixes up my eating habits! I am going to make a considerable effort to eat more and hopefully gain some weight (any recipe ideas are more than welcome). I also need to focus on drinking more water as every time I go to the doctors they always pull me up on this and every time I brush it off and don't really pay much attention. This time I listened and I am going to start drinking endless amounts as I have years of making up to do.

2. Debt free:
This has pretty much been a resolution for me since I was old enough to have a credit card but now is the time to get serious and grow up. Ive always been a bit of a shopaholic, usually paying off my overdraft on payday only to land right back in it the next day because of a new handbag or gorgeous pair of shoes! Since I graduated and started working full time this has become my main focus and although there have been a couple of slips (I couldn't help myself) I am finally knocking things off the list and if I stick to my 6 month finance plan by June I will be completely debt free.

3. Blog
Thirdly and finally is my little blog which I am sorry to say has been neglected over the last month of two! Working in hospitality over the Christmas period is so crazy busy Ive barely had time to sleep let alone blog! Now that it's all calmed down, I will be focusing on regular posts and improving my photography skills as I am hoping to get a DSLR for my birthday! Hopefully you will be hearing from me a lot more!

What are your Resolutions for 2015?
