January Payday Haul!

Firstly I would like to welcome you all to my blog Frosty Elegance – after months of deliberating I finally decided to take the plunge and start my own little space on the internet! I decided to start with a haul type post as these are my absolute favourite posts to read so here is a couple of items I picked up recently on payday!

I get so excited for payday every month only to find that all my money is accounted for and after paying all my bills I don’t actually have much left to live on. This month I got paid a lot more than I budgeted for and after receiving my first two assignments of the year back (which I got 2:1’s in both) I decided to treat myself. My best friend came down for the day and after a quick stop at the pub for lunch the shopping began. I absolutely love everything I bought, some amazing bargains still around.

Now first stop was Zara as I had to pick up a parcel I’d ordered with my gift voucher. I’d been eyeing up this coat since it first arrived in stores but couldn’t justify the price. Last week I went in and saw it had been reduced to £70 but they didn’t have my size so I rushed home to look online, I’m not sure why the prices were different but it was only £49.99 online so I snapped it up immediately. I love this and I can’t wait to wear this with my recently purchased faux fur scarf.

Next stop was Primark as they always have such good bargains I can’t walk past without having a wander around. I actually went in to buy a cropped baby blue fluffy jumper I have had my eye on in the last week but I saw this white one and decided it would go with more items in my wardrobe. Next I saw this large knit jumper reduced to £5 and it looked so cosy and warm, perfect for layering and these horrible cold days that have started, I had to have it. I’ve been after some new knitwear so I was very happy to find both these at such decent prices. The coat was a spur of the moment purchase. It was reduced from £25 down to just £10 and after a quick root around I found the last one in my size and just had to have this. By far my best bargain of the day.

Next stop was Boots. Now because of my beauty spending ban this was quite a boring and uneventful shop. I stocked up on cotton pads and toothpaste and then I needed some more foundation and concealer. Maybelline had a 3 for 2 offer on so I went for the Dream Satin Liquid Foundation (which I absolutely love) and the Fit Me Concealer. I also picked up one of the colour sensational shine gloss in 550 Gleaning Grenadine which was naughty of me but technically it was free so I didn’t feel too guilty.

This again was a spur of the moment purchase but a necessary one. I’ve been needing a diary for this year for ages and saw this one and fell in love. I also picked up this little journal for blogging ideas and a 2014 desk pad to help with planning the coming week. I am a very organised person and unfortunately one of those people who lives by making lists. I think this excited me the most out of everything I bought as I can’t wait to organise all aspects of my life…sad I know!

Lastly are these gorgeous shoes from River Island. I have actually bought these before but my usual size 6 were way too big and I had to return them *sob*. I looked around everywhere but was dubious as to the sizing. Then I saw River Island had more stock in and after trying on a few sizes I decided to buy these beauties in a size 4! I’m still in shock that these fit but I absolutely love love love them and can see myself wearing these everyday.

Not a massive haul but I’m so happy with everything I bought and so excited to wear some of the items. I am considering trying out some OOTD posts, any advice for a newbie?
