The Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most picturesque destinations. From the pastel hued Positano to the whitewashed winding Capri, everywhere you turn your surrounded by insane views and breathtaking sights. Last year we went inter-railing around Italy for two weeks which included a whirlwind 3 day tour of the Amalfi Coast. We flew into Naples and spent a night at a hotel on the outskirts of the city with nothing at all nearby. Luckily after an early flight and a long day of travelling we weren’t really in the mood for much so we did’t mind staying at the hotel for an early night.
On the second day we headed off to Capri which was one of the highlights of the trip for me. We spent the day exploring the incredible island before grabbing dinner at Terrazza Brunella which was exceptional. The perfect way to spend our first anniversary together. The next day the weather was a bit grey and dreary so we hopped on our boat and headed to our next destination – Sorrento. To be honest I found Sorrento to be a little underwhelming from everything I had read about online and now I have been there once I wouldn’t head back in a hurry. We had a long walk around the town and did see some gorgeous sites but they were nothing compared to our next stop.
Positano is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. The candy coloured houses which line cliffside are absolutely breathtaking and the views as you drive down the windy cliffs to reach this little town are out of this world. We were actually supposed to only spend the day here and head off to Ravello but managed to find a last minute air b’n’b and decided to stay for the night. Our room had the most incredible views of the bay and neither of us wanted to leave. Positano was the lost stop on our short trip around the Amalfi Coast and today I’m sharing with you some of my favourite moment’s from our trip to inspire you to go and visit for yourself.
