My 2017 Outfit Bloopers

This year I finally started getting back into fashion blogging again. Originally I started my blog with an aim of showcasing my own personal style and how this has developed over the years. I always had the idea in my head that eventually I would pursue a career in the fashion world but with no real experience in this sector, I thought a blog would be the perfect starting point. Although I haven’t completely dismissed the idea of working in fashion, I still struggle to narrow it down and pin point which area I am interested in most. I had so many ideas for content I wanted to create and outfits I wanted to showcase but after the breakdown of a very toxic relationship 3 years ago, I completely lost my self confidence.

Fashion blogging is something I fall in and out of love with. When I first started blogging I followed so many fashion bloggers for inspiration and ideas but recently I’ve just lost interest. I find myself unfollowing so many people on Instagram especially because firstly I detest ‘like to know’ and I still to this day don’t understand why you can’t just link where your bloody top is from? And secondly because the originality is completely gone. I’m so over these ‘influencers’ who seem to be popping up here there and everywhere. Of course there are tons of bloggers out there who don’t do this and some of my absolute favourites who are completely killing it are Nicole, and Leigh who you should definitely go and check out!

In 2018 I am going to take it back to the beginning and I simply going to share with you my outfits. I should warn you know about 70% of my wardrobe is Primark, I don’t have a best friend who’s also a budding photographer and I live in possibly the most boring place in the world, but none of that is going to stop me. I’ve enjoyed getting back into my outfit posts and I’ve enjoyed shooting with Gavin (most of the time at least). The main thing that I have learnt with shooting outfits is not to take yourself too seriously. I mean we all want that perfect insta shot and I’m not the only one who takes about 50 pictures of the exact same thing only to delete them all because my hand looks weird or my eye is droopy but thats what happens in real life.

I planned to shoot loads of content during my week off and loads of super snazzy outfits that make me look and feel like a girl boss. In reality I have lived in my dressing gown and I haven’t left the flat since Tuesday, let alone worn make up so today I thought I would share something a little bit different. I decided to put together a bit of a blooper reel of some of the outfits we shot this year and to remind myself never take yourself too seriously! Enjoy and don’t be too harsh – lets all let our imperfections empower us.
