Back at the beginning of September I was lucky enough to attend the Bloggers Festival organised by the lovely Scarlett London. After attending Scarlett’s last event back in April myself, Karis and Alice decided that we couldn’t miss out on another. After a quick pitstop at Pret, and a well overdue catch up outside the National Gallery, we made our way down to the Conrad St James in London ready for an afternoon of nattering, nibbling and networking.
We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Scarlett herself and after being checked off the gigantic list of 250 bloggers we made our way into the main exhibition area. First stop was the magical enchanted forest display from Jewellery Box which was absolutely breathtaking. Complete with a little rickety bridge, the display really showcased the gorgeous jewellery available with something fitting to everyone’s tastes. We made our way slowly around the room stopping off at the Perfume Shop who had a wonderful doll’s house display showcasing some new releases and the most fashionable cupcakes I have ever seen, Nanshy who had the most gorgeous display of all their brushes to try out and play with, and Cloud Nine showcasing their sleek new white straightening iron which is simply gorgeous.
There was a good variety of brands ranging from fashion to beauty to lifestyle and even the tastiest Caribbean condiments (with the most divine sweet chilli dipping sauce EVER). It was nice to see a mixture of familiar brands such as Bonprix and Bee Good as well as being introduced to some new brands such as Brodie & Stone, Exuviance, Yours Truly Organics, Yoogia and Small Man Media. There were networking tables laid out with the sweetest pic’n’mix display in the middle of the event and Mode Media had a lounge area where they were on hand offering advice on tips on how to develop your blog further.
All of the brands were so generous offering individual goody bags on top of the amazing tote bags filled to the brim put together by Scarlett as a thank you to for attending the event. These lovely totes sponsored by Life Tonics were branded with the slogan ‘blogging is thirsty work’ – which it really is, so after a quick stop at the refreshing fruit infused water station we made our way back into the bustle of London ready for an evening of dancing and far too many cocktails.
Scarlett’s events are some of my favourites as I always meet tons of new bloggers and there are so many amazing opportunities. Make sure your following Scarlett L Events on twitter to keep up to date with any upcoming events: I know I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next one.
